Witte Auto-TapperThe Witte Co. has designed its new auto-tapper to automatically free off-spec pellets lodged in the screening deck of pellet classifiers. The company believes that the auto-tapper additionally grants:

  • A pneumatic actuator, which is set on an adjustable cycle timer, to induce a small resonance through the perforated classifier deck that coordinates with the linear vibrating action to gently jolt any pellets blocking the screen and permit their continued movement towards the reject discharge.
  • The capability to open blocked holes, permitting on-spec pellets to slide through the screen.
  • Suitability for separating plastic pellets, chemicals, food ingredients, animal feeds, sludge and other pelletized products.
  • Performance even when the pellets are sticky or crumbly, or a high percentage are likely to be off-spec.
  • A nearly silent process that occurs without human supervision, thus freeing personnel from monitoring the classifier, so they can accomplish other tasks.
  • Availability as an option on the company‚Äôs entire line of pellet classifiers and as a retrofit on Witte classifiers in the field.
