Endress+Hauser Proline t-massEndress+Hauser recently released the Proline t-mass 150 thermal mass flowmeter for measuring gases, such as compressed air, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and argon. According to the company, the t-mass 150 also furnishes:

  • The measurement of mass flow, gas temperature, free air delivery and corrected volume — all without the need for pressure or temperature compensation.
  • The capacity to measure mass flow up to 2.4 million pounds/hour with negligible pressure loss.
  • The ability to reliably measure small gas quantities at very low operating pressures.
  • A Gas Engine — embedded flow computer — that makes it possible for the flowmeter to change from one gas to another without the need for recalibration.
  • Continuous self-diagnostics to monitor the device and for process errors.
  • Operating temperatures from -40º to 212ºF (-40º to 100ºC) and pressures up to 580 PSI (40 BAR).
  • A pulse/frequency switch output, allowing easy connection to control and energy management systems.
  • A 4- to 20-mA output with HART.
  • A high turndown ratio of 100:1.
  • Stainless steel construction.
  • Compliance with CSAus and approvals for use in Class 1, Div. 2 areas.
  • Availability in insertion, in-line or hot-tap versions for installation in rectangular ducts or pipes from 1/2 to 60 inches.
  • Selection from welded flanges, lap-joint flanges or threaded connections.
  • Suitability for applications that include leak detection, process control, cost allocation, analysis of flow profiles and energy management.
