Bürkert has improved the functionality of its insertion EMF Type 8045 all-purpose electromagnetic flowmeter not only as a result of the free combinability with fittings, but also local calibration that doesn’t require further special equipment. According to the company, other updates include:
- A low-flow cutoff function to permit setting a limit below which the measurement value is set to zero, with consequences on the display, totalizers and outputs.
- External control with available digital inputs, which can be configured via the menu, so it is possible to reset the totalizer, go into hold mode, start a zero point calibration and activate a replacement measurement value.
- Self-diagnostics and easy device status recognition via a third LED that flashes green, orange or red to immediately signal if the device status is good, or if a warning or an error is active, to ease remote viewing of the device status.
- An adjustable backlit display to enable local reading and parameter setting without an additional lamp.
