Concrete Manufacturer To Build Plant In Georgia
BRASELTON, Ga. (AP) -- An Ohio-based manufacturer of construction products will locate a manufacturing plant and distribution center in Braselton.
Gov. Sonny Perdue announced on Thursday that Dayton Superior is planning a 192,000-square-foot facility in the north Georgia city. Perdue says the operation will create 90 direct jobs in its first year and will involve an investment of about $15 million.
Perdue says the company will add 50 more jobs in its second year.
The company produces concrete accessories and chemicals. CEO Rick Zimmerman says 60 to 70 percent of the products the company offers will be available to construction companies through the Braselton operation.
