Belgium's G&G International NV is talking about world records these days. The metal construction company is providing what is considered to be the world's largest reactors and regenerators of their kind on a gigantic, integrated petrochemical site in Saudi Arabia. Currently one of the biggest integrated petrochemical sites ever to be built on the shore of the Red Sea, the site is scheduled to be operational at the end of 2008. In many ways, this is a project of extremes. The reactors and regenerators were built from 12 cm thick steel and weigh up to 1,000 metric tons per unit. The company believes such units have never been built before in just one piece.
