ST. LOUIS - October 16, 2012 - Inland Label® will be showcasing products using the new Spartech® 1-Seal(TM) injection in-mold lid technology at Pack Expo 2012 in Chicago, Ill.

"Partnering with a label company like Inland Label is central to our strategy of introducing complete solutions for our customers in the food industry," said Mike Duff, Director of Strategic Partner Development of Spartech Packaging Technologies. "After conducting extensive technical and retail marketing analysis, our team selected an in-mold labeling method instead of pursuing offset printing or pressure sensitive labels. We chose to partner with Inland Label for 1-Seal research and development based on their leadership in the in-mold label industry. We have no doubt that this will be a successful partnership for Spartech Packaging, Inland Label and our customers."

The new 1-Seal technology is a durable, recyclable packaging solution that eliminates the need for an additional foil seal or film membrane. The 1-Seal IML lid is capped and sealed to a container by leaving a portion of the label surface exposed inside the lid. The package can be recycled in streams that collect and reprocess polypropylene.  Additionally, the utilization of in-mold labeling technology allows for increased graphic quality that is unmatched by direct printing or other labeling methods. Re-closable, microwaveable and freezer-to-microwave ready, the 1-Seal package provides several consumer benefits that will attract brand owners who are looking for an innovative and sustainable packaging solution.

Both Spartech and Inland Label will feature the 1-Seal technology at Pack Expo, October 28-31, 2012. Inland Label will be at booth N-5630 directly across from the Showcase of Packaging Innovations. Spartech will be at booth N-5111 in the Brand Zone.
