Bristol-Myers Squibb CEO elected to DuPont board
Shareholders of chemical company DuPont Co. have elected the CEO of Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. to DuPont's board of directors.
Lamberto Andreotti succeeds William Reilly, who is retiring at age 72 as required by DuPont's board policies.
At DuPont's annual meeting Wednesday, the company's shareholders also voted down two stockholder proposals.
One called for the chairman of DuPont's board to be an independent director and not have served as a DuPont executive.
The other proposal called for DuPont to prepare a report on what it pays senior executives, comparing it with the wages of DuPont's lowest-paid employees so readers can determine whether executive compensation should be capped or adjusted when DuPont employees are facing layoffs.
