WABCO Announces Multi-Year Contract With IVECO to Supply Innovative Air Processing Technology for Heavy Duty Trucks in Europe
WABCO Holdings Inc. (NYSE: WBC) (www.wabco-auto.com (http://www.wabco-auto.com) ), a global technology leader and tier-one supplier to the commercial vehicle industry, today announced that it has entered into a long term agreement with IVECO, a global manufacturer of commercial vehicles headquartered in Turin, Italy, to supply WABCO's innovative mechanical air processing unit (M-APU) technology for heavy duty trucks starting in 2011 for series production.
WABCO's new generation of M-APU technology combines an innovative quad-valve with proven air dryer and air cartridge systems in a superbly engineered compact design. This means improved reliability and optimal performance while increasing energy efficiencies of heavy duty on-road IVECO trucks.
The company's contract with IVECO for M-APU technology represents new business and further expands WABCO's long established supply relationship with IVECO. WABCO furnishes IVECO with anti-lock braking, electronic braking and electronically controlled air suspension systems, as well as air compressor technology, vehicle control modules and braking products, among other vehicle components.
