EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson said Wednesday in a statement that it was vital that communities have access to the information that affects health and the environment.
The Toxics Release Inventory data can be viewed, by ZIP code, at http://www.epa.gov/tri
Industries such as manufacturing, metal mining, electric utilities and commercial hazardous waste treatment facilities are required to report their data by July 1 of each year.
