MECO custom shaft seals are available fully split for both single and twin shaft polyolefin extruders. These self-adjusting seals are designed to accommodate shaft deflection and temperatures approaching to 500°F. Nitrogen-purged seals reliably contain resin and additive powders and hydrocarbon vapors. Seals also prevent leakage and shaft damage on screw feeders and on upstream equipment such as dryers and conveyors, prolonging machinery life and reducing downtime.
