Abrasion Compound

Wear Guard™ High Impact high density epoxy putty is ideal for repairing and protecting equipment subject to extreme impact, flexing or abrasion. A non VOC formulation containing a flexible acrylate and micro-alumina ceramic beads provides excellent compressive strength and wear resistance, extending the life of slurry pumps, pipe elbows, scrubbers, pulverizers, screens, screw conveyors, chutes and hoppers. Compound has a pot life of 45 minutes at 75°F. Recommended applied thickness for repairs is at least ¼”. On vertical surfaces the putty can be trowleled up to ¾” thick without sagging. After seven days it has a hardness of 85 Shore D, compressive strength of 7250 PSI, modulus of elasticity of 3.36 PSI x 105 inches, adhesive tensile shear of 2567 PSI and flexural strength of 6144 PSI. Coating withstands service temperatures up to 140°F and 300°F dry.
