Position Sensors

• Operate in hazardous areas
• Non-contact design
• Numerous configurations available

Non-contact, intrinsically safe position sensors and switching amplifiers are designed for hazardous area applications. These intrinsically safe devices can be installed in hazardous area environments that contain atmospheres with ignitable gas-air mixtures, dusts and fibers without causing fires or explosions. Applications include chemical plants and food additive/powder mixing areas. During installation, special devices such as conduit or metal-clad cables are not required.
