SuperBlend-2Pak™ is comprised of No. 25 and No. 40 metal high performance random packing. Manufacturer claims testing has confirmed the packing can increase throughput of an existing column by as much as 20% without degradation of separation performance. Tests included distillation with cyclohexane/n-heptane at four pressures, pressure drop using air/water and absorption efficiency using the carbon dioxide/caustic system.
