High Cycle Life Plastic Pinch Valve

This all-thermoplastic, air-operated Series HSA pinch valve with a newly designed sleeve element has been engineered to last up to five times longer than traditional designs. Pinch valves use a normally open sleeve element to control flow. Offering an open flow path to eliminate dead spots, they are especially suited to slurries and other media with particulate because the elastomer sleeve will seal around solids that might prevent more common valve types from closing. The sleeve element in the Series HSA is a patent-pending design featuring variable thicknesses and a tapered shape. It is molded from a new formulation of ethelyne-propylene-diene-monomer using a proprietary curing process for greater elasticity, durability, and longevity. This elastomer, combined with the new design, enables the pinch element to achieve more than 1,000,000 cycles under test conditions. The Series HSA has ½ in. true union connections, threaded or socket. It uses compressed air via a 1/8 in. NPT connection and requires a common three-way air solenoid to operate, with 45 psi over line pressure for full closure.
