This 10-gallon Surge Suppressor has been installed in the pressure side of a 3" PVC pipe with quick-closing valves to reduce water hammer pressure spikes. With damaging water hammer pressure spikes now absorbed, no pipes have ruptured and the water treatment plant and nearby highway, which also had to be shut down when repairs to the plant were necessary, have experienced no downtime.
