Kerr-McGee Chemical LLC has withdrawn its anti-dumping duty petition filed last July with the International Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Commerce against the import of electrolytic manganese dioxide (EMD) from Australia, China, Greece, Ireland, Japan and South Africa.
“As a result of the anti-dumping duty petition, demand for our EMD product increased, allowing us to restart production at our Henderson, NV, plant,” W. Pete Woodward, Kerr-McGee senior vice president of chemicals, said. “We will continue to monitor the market and will keep our options open in the future should our market share drop due to low-priced imports.”
Kerr-McGee Chemical is a wholly owned affiliate of Kerr-McGee Corp.
