Jet Mill

Single Clamp Micronizer® jet mill combines operation with narrow particle-size distribution in the production of fine powders for pharmaceuticals. A single clamp encircles the mill's 4" chamber, sealing it during operation and permitting easy disassembly, even in a glove box. Turning out spherical particles with diameters as small as a few microns for testing or preparing batches of formulations, mill can process up to 40 lbs/hr. It accepts raw materials of various particle sizes through a feed funnel and a replaceable venturi. As centrifugal force retains larger particles at the perimeter of the chamber, fins move toward the center where they are discharged for collection.
